Marilyn believes in an integrated wholistic approach to therapy. She integrates many different modalities into her treatment approach, depending on individual client needs. Some common techniques are based in Adlerian, cognitive, behavioural, and drama techniques. As each individual is unique, Marilyn works togther with each client to maintain an optimal individual approach to therapeutic change.
Marilyn is a Registered Psychotherapist. She has been practicing pyschotherapy for over 25 years. During this time, she has specialized in eating disorders. She has assisted individuals with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating, as well as addressing other eating and body image issues. In addition to treating eating disorders, Marilyn also treats depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsiveness, and family and relationship difficulties.
Marilyn obtained her Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She also has received a certificate in Metaphor Therapy and has attended psychodrama workshops. Marilyn has provided psychotherapeutic lectures, psycho-educational consulting, written professional articles, as well as lead therapy groups.
Marilyn offers a full range of therapeutic services including individual, couples and family counselling as well as intensive programs.
